RHYTHM IS IT! in Japan

This version with Japanese subtitles is due to be shown publicly in Japan from the 4th of December on. The premiere had been arranged by Yoko Yamanaka (the distribution firm Cetera International) which had taken an early interest in the film. Yasukazo Aiuchi (the director of Deutsche Bank AG in Tokyo), Peter Brem (the Berliner Philharmonic Orchestra's media chairman) and Helge Grünewald (the orchestra's press speaker) welcomed the public. The interest in the film was considerable and the applause enthusiastic by Japanese standards, and during the reception the guests from Berlin were asked many questions about the educational work. The pre-premiere was even honoured in the midday news of the television station NHK. The distributing firm kindly donated the income from the preview's ticket-sales to victims of the earthquake in the province Nigata.
