Born in 1966 in Berlin, study at the Film & Television Academy (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg. René Dame made besides a lot of image and commercial movies i.a. the documentaries Schleichweg oder Trampelpfad (1998, director: Holger Trzecza, nominated for the German Grimme Prize and the German-Polish Journalists Prize 1998), Warszawa Express (2000, director: Thomas Grube and Uwe Dierks; nominated for the German Television Prize), Karl Weschke - Myths of a Life (2001, director: Thomas Grube) and the multiple honored Rhythm is it! (2004, director: Thomas Grube).
