
Anthony Dod Mantle

Born in 1955 in Oxford, relocation to Denmark in 1983, study at the Royal Danish Film School. Since his early movies The Birthday Trip (1990, director: Lone Scherfig) and The Terrorists (1992, director: Philip Gröning) Anthony Dod Mantle ranges among the most renowned cinematographers in Europe. He worked i.a. with Thomas Vinterberg (1999, The Celebration; 2003, It’s all about Love; 2005, Dear Wendy; 2007, A Man Comes Home), as well as Danny Boyle (2001, Strumpet; 2002, 28 Days Later; 2004, Millions), Søren Kragh-Jacobsen (1999, Mifune), Lars von Trier (2003, Dogville; 2005, Manderlay) and Kevin Macdonald (2007, The Last King Of Scotland).
His numerous honors include the European Film Prize for Dogville and the British Independent Film Award as well as the Camera Price of the Stockholm Filmfestival for Kevin McDonalds’ The Last King Of Scotland
